The unbelievable has become reality—the world’s best banjo player, Béla Fleck, has ordered a Czech banjo from Rosta Capek. Together, they have created a model called the Capek Belagoria—the name is derived from the Allegoria model, one of our most popular. The inlays was adapted by its creator, the excellent French designer Phillip Boutet, and it is based on Béla’s design—the main and unmistakable feature is the red elements in beautiful Art Deco motifs on the individual frets and the headstock, just as Béla wished and personally designed.
The banjo, of course, meets Béla Fleck’s exact specifications—namely, a different (wider) neck shape, compound radius, and a higher compensated bridge. Detailed photos and description here.
We are thrilled—the order from Béla Fleck, and above all the collaboration with him, is a tremendous recognition of our work, a goal Rosta has been striving toward for more than 40 years, ever since he founded the Čapek Instruments brand.
